General Information for the Final Exam

Final Exams

The final exams are proctored at the public home school of enrollment.  Students must take the exam in person on the designated dates in a proctored environment.
All IOA students must pass the final exam in order to receive credit for the class.

Proctoring the Final Exam

  • The student must show a picture ID to the proctor.
  • Final Exams vary in length.  Generally the exam should take no longer than 90 minutes to complete.
  • The student will log into the class and click on the Final Exam Folder. This folder contains the Student Evaluation and the class Final Exam.

  • The proctor must confidentially type in the secure password for the Student Evaluation. After the student completes the Student Evaluation, their Final Exam will be automatically unlocked.

  • To obtain the password, the guidance counselor may log into the IOASIS system at www.indianaonlineacademy.org/IOASIS and click on "Final Exam Info." This password is changed periodically, so it is important to check the password on the day of the exam. To protect the integrity of the exam, please do not share this password with the student.

  • The proctor should be aware of any Final Exam instructions specific to the class the student is taking.  These instructions are also available in IOASIS.
  • Final grades will be e-mailed to the counselor or record within a week of the Final Exam.  Counselors can view posted final grades in IOASIS.
